| wonderful childhood memories to have. Always waiting anxiously to see if the parade has horses. The clip-clop of the horses hooves on the pavement is music to our ears as we watch Which one do you like best? The shiny black one? The spirited brown one? Or the one with the golden tail? A thrill goes through us as we pretend that one of the horses could be our very own. We think that riding a horse in a parade has to be one of the most exciting things in the world! Well guess what! It is one of the most exciting things in the world! Whether you are riding your horse, carrying the banner, or walking as a parade escort, the thrill is there. The smiles coming from the crowd are contagious as you march down route once, a little girl looked up at me and asked "Are you a cowgirl?" my reply... "I am today!"
